

Board Member Profiles - Damian Bugg AM QC
Mr Bugg graduated in Law and was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 1969. After practising in Hobart, Mr Bugg was appointed the Tasmanian Director of Public Prosecutions in July 1986. Mr Bugg became a QC in 1994 and was appointed as the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions in 1999, retiring from this position in 2007.
Mr Bugg was a member of the Council of the Australian Institute of Judical Administration for nine years, and is currently the Chancellor of the University of Tasmania and President and a Board Member of the Canadian-based International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law.
Mr Bugg recieved the Centenary Medal in 2003 and was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2005.
