Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees and MyState Financial announce merger proposal
I am very pleased to advise that the Boards of Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees and MyState Financial announced on Friday 10 Oct, that they will unanimously recommend to their respective shareholders and members, a proposal for the businesses to come together and form a new and significant financial services Group based in Tasmania. The creation of this fully integrated financial services Group will make Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees and MyState Financial even stronger together.
As a valued client of Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees, I am writing to you with information about the proposal and what it means for you.
The proposal to bring together two of Tasmania’s largest and most successful financial service providers will enable us to broaden the range of products and services available to you while maintaining as a core part of the combined group, the full range of financial, lending and investment services, including our traditional trustee and executor services.
The long term interests of our customers are paramount and we are committed to maintaining our standards of responsible governance and management.
The Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees brand name will also be retained and we will continue to provide services in all areas where we currently operate.
Both Tasmanian Perpetual Trustee shareholders and MyState Financial members will be asked to vote on the proposal in coming months. The process still has some way to go. However, please be assured that we will preserve and strengthen the special relationship we have with our customers and will continue to provide the same exceptional personal service you have come to expect of us.
You will find more information about this proposal on our website www.tasmanianperpetual.com.au and over the coming months we will keep you informed of our progress.
Once again, thank you for your continued support.
Yours faithfully
